Character: Alisaie Leveilleur
Canon: Final Fantasy XIV - Post Endwalker - 6.0
Age: 16 (mentally 17)
Background Information: History Section Here
Personality:
Resilient - Alisaie has proven that she can bounce back from any difficult situation she has found herself in. She has always been the kind of person to see things through to the end. Even when facing the end of their star, she never stopped persevering to push forward. For example, when she watched Tesleen turn into a sin eater, she did her best to give Tesleen a peaceful end. Even if it meant that she had no choice but to fight her in that state, she was willing to do what it took for Tesleen to have peace. Because she was unable to save Ga Bu's parents and shield him from being tempered under Titan's influence, she is especially protective of both Tesleen and Halric.
Straight forward - Alisaie is not afraid to say what is on her mind. It's self-evident when she's trying to gain insight into a situation and how to resolve any issues. When the others had fallen into a coma, Alisaie vocally expressed that the Warrior of Light was not allowed to leave her alone.
Passionate - Once she has set her mind on anything, Alisaie will see through until the end; Sometimes, it’s to a fault when she works herself into exhaustion on occasion. When combating the Blasphemy, Alisaie was determined to save every person she could, though still understanding that she may not be able to save everyone. Even knowing that, it didn’t stop her from trying her best nonetheless. When presented with a method that could save Ga Bu and the Tempered, Alisaie did not hesitate to pour all her heart into gathering resources until the method was completed.
Compassionate - She is a very compassionate person. While it may not be evident on the surface, she values her friends and family greatly. She is always looking out for their well-being. She consistently expresses how important it is for her companions to care for themselves. When the Crystal Exarch decided that he was going to sacrifice his life to send the Scions and the Warrior of Light back to the Source, Alisaie responded with an aggressive forehead flick in kind, showing how she disagreed with his method. She refuses to see her companions sacrifice themselves. It’s very common for Alisaie to be emotional when her companions are put in harm’s way.
Stubborn/Independent - Alisaie could be unreasonable about the simplest things when her mind is made up about something. She would be so set in her ways that no one could persuade her otherwise. A good example was when she distanced herself from the Scions for some time, doing her own information hunting and investigations. She disagreed with how the Scions were involved in political affairs. Unlike her brother, Alisaie is not particularly fond of politics. Rather than follow suit, she chose to keep her distance and find her own way. She would, however, keep tabs on the Warrior of Light and the Scions periodically while pursuing her own path. Following the betrayal of the Crystal Braves, she sent for a carriage to save her brother and the Warrior of Light to get them out of harm's way.
During the Coils of Bahamut, Alisaie discovered her grandfather's transcendence to Phoenix. That particular experience further shaped her passion for wanting to protect Eorzea. She admired her grandfather and his ideals. She had spent so much time trying to follow in his footsteps. It had been an enlightening experience for her, pushing her to find her own path to walk. When Alisaie was poisoned while investigating the Warriors of Darkness, and their involvement with summoning Primals, she sought out the Warrior of Light and her brother with the help of Thancred to relay the information before passing out.
Aggressive/Emotional - She has always been easily ruffled. It doesn’t take too much to make her retaliate in kind. Sometimes it was from her brother teasing her about her personality. Her sheepish admiration for the Warrior of Light was one point that had been brought up before. Alphinaud talking about their childhood is another source of embarrassment for her. He once made a joke about a bratty pixie reminding him of his childhood in Il Mheg. Alisaie did not take kindly to this and angrily grabbed him by the collar and shook him.
Although it is not uncommon, Alisaie loathes being compared to her brother. When Estinien mistook her for Alphinaud, ruffling her hair and saying she was 'rugged,' Alisaie took extreme offense to such actions. She denied vehemently that she was not Alphinaud and that she couldn't believe that this was 'the' Estinien her brother spoke so much about. She went as far as threatening to throw him off the Airship if he did it again.
Alisaie, while confident in herself and her own abilities, sometimes felt she was inferior to Alphinaud. Her achievements proved otherwise when she was one of the youngest students to graduate from the Studium. While she didn’t excel in academics in the same way that Alphinaud did, she was still very successful and intelligent enough to hold her own. She excelled in physical activities such as swimming and fencing. She never misses a beat to tease Alphinaud about his struggles with swimming. She would also tease him about how ‘delicate’ he was compared to her.
Alphinaud is very important to her. Alisaie was emotionally affected when she lost contact with Alphinaud during his diplomatic voyage to Garlemald in the Burn. When she had no news about her brother’s travels, she was very anxious and worried for his safety. She appeared to be fine on the surface. Still, small things about her actions and gestures proved how worried and emotional she was about his safety. Alisaie loves her brother above all else and wouldn’t know what to do if something were to happen to him.
Mischievous – While she comes off as a pretty aggressive and straightforward person, she’s also a little mischievous. Sometimes, it is the little things like stealing a G’raha Tia’s cookie while he isn’t looking or sneaking pickles on his plate. So in a sense, she has a bit of a childish and mischievous side that comes out every so often.
Easily embarrassed – She is easily embarrassed by certain situations and will do nothing short of threatening everyone and making sure they wouldn’t speak a single word. For example, she threatened the Warrior of Light, Krile, and G’raha Tia when she realized that they had caught her when she fell asleep, swaying back and forth ungracefully.
Abilities & Inventory:
Fencing - It is noted that she is very adept in fencing. In addition, the discipline she learned from fencing helped her adapt to her current job class.
Swimming - Alisaie is a great swimmer, and it's definitely a point that is mentioned a few times. It even became a little jab at her brother whenever they spoke about swimming and water.
Arcanist - Summoner was the initial job class that Alisaie started with. Instead of summoning a familiar carbuncle, she summoned aetherial blades instead. Alisaie seems very adept in the field, using the skills in battle reasonably well. She is also capable of healing, much like her brother. (Alisaie has abandoned this method of combat and no longer uses this job class.)
Red Mage - After the event Coils of Bahamut, Alisaie went on a journey after its defeat. Along the way, she met X'rhun Tia, from whom she learned red magic. Alisaie was able to apply her magic abilities to the discipline but struggled with the swordplay aspect of it. Ironic, given how adept she was in fencing. Common rapiers did not suit her, thus why she had ended up summoning aetherial blades from her grimoire instead. Uriangier ended up gifting her a custom rapier so she would not have to use her aether to summon a blade. From this point onward, Alisaie began using the rapier in combat and the Red Mage job.
Summon a Porxie - While in the First, Alisaie and company worked on a massive project to find ways to cure those afflicted by the light from the sin eaters. In doing so, she could apply this method to create a similar familiar that channeled large amounts of aether into rebalancing the aether to release them from the control of Primals. (I have a few questions regarding this listed in the questions section of the application.)
Inventory
Clairon - The custom-made rapier that was given to her by Uriangier became her primary weapon as a Red Mage.
Suitability & Plans:
I don't have any solid plans, but my main goal is to expand her personality as a character, let her grow and gain knowledge of the unfamiliar. I want to give her an opportunity to further help others and engage with different people. I want her to build a stronger foundation for herself and be able to continue to strive. Overall, I myself missed settings of games like this. I wanted to see how this game would not only challenge the character I am applying for but also myself as a writer.
Alisaie had her soul spirited to the First and spent a good portion of her time adapting to it. She was unhappy, but she found a purpose in finding ways to help people and hone her own skills. She's not afraid to step in and take charge when necessary while also trying to value her own life. As she's already experienced something similar, it wouldn't be too hard for her to adapt to Songerein and its culture etc. While she can work in a group setting, she is also good at solo work and finding information her way. At the end of Heavensward expansion of the game, she gets poisoned by one of the Warriors of Darkness while trying to gain insight into them. She could relay that information upon being saved before passing out. Overall, she's a very resilient character and will persevere through any hardships independent of others.

SampleQuestions:
Sample 2
1. Regarding the porxie, is it possible to get this as a regain? If it is possible to get it as a regain, what are the nerfs that would be applied to the porxie? Also, to what extent can the abilities be used in the world setting?
2. Alisaie has two healing spells. One is Vercure which heals a significant amount of a character's health. Will this skill need to be nerfed, and at what percentage of potency would it be nerfed to? The other is Verraise, and my question is: will this ability even work in the game setting? If yes, what percentage of potency would it be nerfed to?
